The Tuareg of the Sahara region of Africa adhere to the traditional etchings and protective markings handed down to them through their ancestors the Berbers and incorporate them onto much of their jewelry, textiles, leather workings and metal objects such as swords. Silver is the base metal used whereas it is believed to be pure in nature. The beautiful aged pendant on the left, designed in the fashion of a Tuareg traditional ring with the usual stone pyramid replaced by a stylized ebony and silver V configuration. The finger hole now halved and serving as a bridge between the end of the pendant and the beaded necklace itself. The black beads of the chain have been interspersed with 8 silver and ebony embossed sections. The pendant on the right is a sleek blade of silver with 3 vertical streaks of ebony on its face. The weighty pendant is very smooth to the touch and is suspended on a heavy black beaded chain. The ebon beads are medium sized with 4 round silver balls that are detailed with dark brown wood rings, very nice! The price is for one pendant.
