From 1912-1959 while the British dominated parts of Western Africa including Cameroon, Togoland, Gambia and Sierra Leone the West African Currency Board issued coins that are labeled British West Africa. The "Star of David" used as the coins central motif, is a Jewish symbol, not exclusively an Israeli symbol, gives reference to the "Star of David" which dates back about a thousand years. The coins are quarter dollar size, copper-nickel, with a hole in the center as minted. They are collected for their numismatic and mostly historical value. Each coin comes with a leather neck cord.
