The bouncy plumes under normal indoor lighting conditions at first glance seem to have a deep darkness,  a rich blackness,  with subtle hints of brownness... Under more intense lighting, as one draws closer,  colors formerly cloaked in darkness will begin to appear. Burgundy hues joined with browns and blue violets. 

The first photo shows the true range of colors. The absolute center of the hat is exactly the color of the entire hat when placed in low to moderate lighting. In contrast the more light the more exposed the coloring becomes as viewed with in the same photo.

This hat would add a bit of curiosity, a bit of decorative flare to a dark interior...(Listen up gents :)
