Vibrant and often colorful these crafts hail from the African countries of Rwanda and Uganda. They are hand woven from sisal, sweet grass, banana leaf stalk and or raffia from palm leaves. The art of Basketry has created a valuable source of income for hundreds of women throughout Africa. In turn the baskets provide us with a new wave of alternative wall and table decor.
