Ashanti or Akan symbols reflect traditional mores, specific communal values, philosophical concepts, codes of conduct and social standards. They symbolize parables, proverbs, popular sayings, historical events, animal and human characteristics. These symbols are found on textiles, jewelry and perhaps most famously crafted within Ashanti seating. The stool above creatively reflects the proverb "Time and Tide waits for no man." This selection is available in a light wood color only now.
